fall centerpiece take 2

I went raspberry picking again on Sunday, and not only did I come home with a box full of berries, I picked some type of pretty, green, fuzzy weed/grass that was growing along the edge of the raspberry field. They might have been weeds when they were in the field, but when I brought them home and put them into a glass bottle, they looked so pretty on the dining room table!

The glass bottle originally held margarita mix that we purchased at Target, and is perfect because the narrow opening keeps the thing stems of the "weeds" close together for a nice shape instead of just spreading out. I've held on to it for nearly a year waiting for the perfect use, and this was it!

You might remember that a few weeks ago I showed you the wheat centerpiece I placed to start the tables transition into fall. Well, our kitty Mango is allergic to grass, and that apparently extends to wheat. So the wheat centerpiece was out due to a skin reaction she had :-/ Just to be safe, the fuzzy weeds centerpiece stayed long enough for me to get a picture and imagine looking at this fuzzy centerpiece all the time before being relegated to the balcony table centerpiece. It's not quite the same, but I can still see it as I walk past our sliding glass door, and it's worth it to keep our favorite member of the family healthy and happy.

With that said, look for centerpiece number 3 soon, hopefully one that is not kitty-allergy inducing!

last week our group held a similar discussion on this topic and you point out something we have not covered yet, thanks.
