Today was my first day at my new job! I walked in not really knowing all that much about what my day would look like, but it ended up going well. I work in a team, which consists of a special education preschool teacher, an occupational therapist, and myself. A physical therapist and visually impaired consultant join the team on occasion too. The great part about this is I get to benefit from all of their collective knowledge! I'm not off in a little room by myself, I am surrounded by awesome professionals. I was definitely overwhelmed with all there is to learn in terms of paperwork and process, but the kids are adorable. All of the kids I'll be seeing are within birth to three, and come to the center for "toddler" and "infant" classes. Once I get a bit more settled, I'll be seeing the kids under two for visits at their home. Today one student's baby sibling came along, and I got to cuddle the baby while mom was getting ready to go. SO cute! Cute baby smell, an easy smile, and totally hug-able. Made me seriously look forward to babies in a few years :-)
I work three days a week, which means when I come home at the end of the day on Monday, I already have a day off to look forward to! I think this is going to the perfect schedule to balance getting experience, making money, and still having a bit of down time after a very busy few years of grad school. Tonight, for example, I finally got around to planting my pansies!
The pansies, along with the new wicker lights, have the balcony looking ready for spring! I left the white lights on the stick tree from christmas and love how they light up the balcony at night. I'm looking forward to the the balcony garden growing and filling in over the next few months, and seeing how much I grow as a clinician as well :-)

I am so looking forward to hearing about everything. Let the blog-stalking begin! :) I can't wait to plant, too! One more paper to finish.
