I'm certainly not a religious person, but I feel a need to involve a lot of elements of religion into my life in some way, especially on this day of thanks. A recent post on the blog Offbeat Mama really resonated with the way I feel about it, when they asked readers to comment on the idea of a "secular grace"
I love the idea that a grace can be an acknowledgment, a thanks, a coming together, between people of all different religious or non-religious beliefs. This grace in particular felt appropriate for today, Thanksgiving, and my views on acknowledging gratitude in general.
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope your day is filled with food, friends, and thanks.
