This afternoon I spent a few hours at Makielski's Berry Farm with my friend Danielle (who will hopefully be starting a blog of her own very soon). I love that it is a five minute drive from my apartment, they don't use insecticides on their berries, and the worker are super friendly (encouraging us to "eat as many as you pick" and directing us towards areas that had the best berries). I will definitely be going back before the summer is over for more berries. In about an hour and half, I picked two quarts of raspberries, topped off with some blackberries. I also bought a melon and raw honey, both of which are grown/produced on the farm.
